American Legislative Exchange Conference
Jerry Mays and Delegate John Overington,
attended the American Legislative Exchange Conference (Dec. 4, 1998) A state and
nation policy summit in Washington, D.C. Met with
former Gov. George Allen, New York Governor George Pataki, and various
speakers on taxes, property rights, potential
problems with the year 2000, Y2K problem for computers,
education costs and results, and
many other issues. Also met
with state legislators from across the nation,
including as far away as Hawaii.
