Soap Box Derby Coming to Martinsburg June 10, 2000

The Soap Box Derby is coming to Martinsburg next year. First started here in 1936 and continued through 1954 except during the World War II years, this event had such winners are Merle "B.I"Butts in 1936 and Merle Spickler in 1946. The event is open for boys and girls from ages nine to sixteen. The one-day event is scheduled for June 10, 2000 in downtown Martinsburg on Queen Street from the Library to the Board of Education building.
